ReBoot Celebration w/ Planes on Paper

  • Sat, December 03, 2016
  • 6:00 PM - 11:00 PM
  • Yakima Maker Space

Yakima Maker Space is reopening in December and we want to celebrate with you! Our gallery will be the site of a special concert by our friends Jen and Navid of Planes on Paper. Come in and tour the facilities, enjoy some fun maker activities, and hear new music from Planes on Paper. This event is free and open to the public, thanks to our generous donors! A cash bar will be available.

The doors will open at 6:00pm, with tours, activities, gallery viewing and special thanks all happening until 7:30. Then Planes on Paper take the stage! Don't miss out on what is sure to be one of the most intimate and must-see concert experiences in Yakima this year!

As a one year-old project, Planes on Paper was already receiving high praise from a nearly endless list of media outlets across the country: The Seattle Times, American Songwriter Magazine, KEXP, WNYU New York, The Revue, Ear To The Ground, and The Stranger, to name just a few. Now two years in, the praise continues, and the songwriting duo is selling out 300 to 1500 capacity venues on both coasts, and playing some of the Northwest’s most noteworthy festivals... all without yet releasing an album; that should tell you all you need to know about the strength of Planes on Paper’s live performances. Described as, “a cohesive, stark showcase of pure, unadulterated song craft,” they are a show not to be missed.

As Planes on Paper’s national touring has increased, their local performances have become increasingly rare; their last public show in Yakima was a sold-out performance at The Capitol Theatre nearly a year ago. This special performance at Yakima Maker Space will feature songs from the duo’s forthcoming full-length record, thus far unheard by ANY audience.
