Intro to Wheel Throwing: 6 sessions + 2 bonus classes

Wheel Throwing is a mesmerizing skill that anyone can learn. With some practice, throwing can open endless possibilities to creating with clay.

In this introductory course, you will learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, covering:

• Clay and it’s stages
•  Wedging and why we do it
•  Centering, Opening, Pulling Walls, and Shaping
• Trimming and prepping a pot for firing

The class includes studio clay, 6 – 2 hour classes, all the tools and equipment for throwing, two firings, and glazes for your pieces.

In addition, two bonus classes:

Glaze Day - June 9th- 5:30pm to 7:30 pm: You will learn how to prep your pieces for glazing and different glazing techniques.

Class Show –June 13th at 11:00 am: Show your friends and family all of your work to see how you have improved throughout the last 6 weeks. This will be the date to pick up your work.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made on or before, May 12, 2026 will be subject to a 4% processing fee.
• Cancellations made after May 17th, 2026 will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
• No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after 1pm, May 19th, 2026.
